Kayleigh Doughty aka ARTISTA* is a visual artist born and raised on the outskirts of London, England. From a young age she has enjoyed portraiture drawing and fine art painting, which has lead her to illustration and character design.
In 2000 - 2004 Kayleigh attended The B.R.I.T School where she studied Art and Design, there she took her GCSE's and A-levels. After she went on to received a Bachelor of Arts for Communication Design at Brighton University in 2009.
Later that same year, the Tate Modern awarded Kayleigh as The Young Tate Winner in association with Threadless. This resulted in her chosen design being printed onto T-shirts and sold in the TATE gallery alongside the Pop Life exhibition in early 2010.
Since then Kayleigh has helped run a two week animation workshop at the TATE Britain for young people alongside a film and video workshop team. This was to help the young people create their own Viral Animation clip for Tate Online.
Kayleigh continues to work on self directed projects and has several commissions.
